Music education enhances learning, communication skills, creativity, teamwork, discipline, cultural awareness, respect of others, and self- esteem through personal accomplishment.
The music program at Bishop O’Connell High School offers a variety of courses in music taught by music specialists. Classes such as Music Technology, Piano Seminar, Musical Theatre, Survey of World and American Music, and AP Music Theory provide opportunities for all students attending O’Connell to experience music. In addition, three levels of guitar classes are offered.
Numerous performance opportunities are available in our many large and small vocal and instrumental ensembles.
