Softball Moves Up in Rankings


O'Connell Softball is making moves on every ranking! After a stellar 8-1 performance against WCAC rival St. Mary's Ryken, O'Connell propels to #2 in The Washington Post. Read the game details here.They have also earned the #10 spot on the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Softball Rankings and are #1 in the WCAC! Keep it up Lady Knights!


Starting Off The Spring Season Right


In the midst of last minute Superdance preparations last Saturday, the crew team congregated at DJO in the wee hours of the morning to head to their first regatta of the Spring season in Bladensburg, Md. The entire team performed beautifully, with EVERY BOAT qualifying for the Grand Final! Results below:

DJO Hockey Player Headed to USA Hockey National Championship


As a freshman on the DJO hockey team, Alex Vouras earned MVP for the season! He takes his talents outside of the high school league to the Washington Little Caps U14 team, where he helped his team win the Southeast District Championship title last weekend in Alabama. This win gave them a ticket to the USA Hockey Youth Tier I National Championship in Phoenix April 6-10. Congratulations Alex and good luck!

Play Like A Champion: Athlete Note

Melo Shooting for NBA Draft


Former O'Connell and University of Maryland powerhouse Melo Trimble '14 will declare to enter the NBA Draft- this time with agent Mike Kneisley. Melo will begin training in Las Vegas in early April. Read The Post article on Melo's career thus far.
