Bishop O'Connell ace Kathryn Sandercock spends hours perfecting her fastball in her own indoor training facility in McLean, VA.

"I always loved being on the mound," Kathryn Sandercock said.

Her fastball is so fast, it touches 69 mph.

Last spring, Kathryn helped O'Connell finish 23-5 and win the WCAC title.

She had a 17-5 record and fanned 199 batters in the process.

She was also part of the 2013 McLean team that went to the Little League World Series and lost in the championship game.

Recently, Sandercock was selected to continue training for a spot on the 2017 USA Softball Junior Women's National Team.
