The 2025 fall season was one of the best the Bishop O'Connell Knights ever have enjoyed in boys cross country. The Knights ended this year's fall campaign by winning the VISAA Division I state championship for the first time since 2000.

The Bishop O'Connell Girls Ice Hockey team competes in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) and the Mid-Atlantic Girls Hockey League (MAGHL).
Our inaugural season (2023-24) featured immediate success. The team finished with a 10-2 overall regular season record, and advanced to both the MAGHL Division A and WCAC Championships.
The program began during the 2022-23 school year, when 17 girls organized the team as a club sport, and the interest and enthusiasm was incredibly high. With the support of the boys hockey program, as well as the administration, we are thrilled to offer more opportunities for our young women to learn and enjoy ice hockey at Bishop O'Connell.
The girls program boasts current and former players from several of the D.C. Metropolitan area's premier hockey programs, including the Washington Pride, Tri-City Eagles, Reston Raiders, NoVA IceDogs, and The St. James. Many of our alumnae have gone on to play college hockey, including at Virginia Tech and the U.S. Naval Academy.
