PROGRAM SUMMARY

  • The Boys Soccer program is aspiring to be the premier high school program in the metropolitan area. The program is committed to playing a possession-oriented, attractive and fluid style of soccer with passionate and technical players.

  • Former O'Connell Knights have played soccer collegiately at the following institutions: Catholic University, Dickinson College, Georgetown University, Marymount University, Rutgers University, Towson University, Wake Forest University, West Virginia University and the College of William & Mary.

Coach Jennings is an experienced professional soccer coach who has trained and developed an assortment of skillful players across the DC Metro Area. Jennings enters his second season with Bishop O'Connell in 2013 after leading the Knights to their first-ever VISAA State Tournament berth in 2012. He also serves as a boys team coach with Braddock Road Elite Travel Soccer, District/Academy coach in the Virginia Olympic Development Program (ODP), D.C. United Academy Camps trainer and is the Technical Director for NXT Level Futbol Academy (www.NXTLevelFutbol.com).

His invaluable experience in both the youth and professional soccer ranks has provided an outstanding platform for him to teach players and help them achieve their goals. Jennings spent time with the NY/NJ Metrostars (NY Red Bulls) before moving on to D.C. United where he focused on soccer programs and youth club relations. His additional coaching experience includes work with the New Jersey Youth Soccer Association and Arlington Soccer Association.
