Scholarships

Awarded to students with a National Percentile Composite Score of 99 on the HSPT. This scholarship does not require a separate application. Recipients of this award will be notified in their Admissions acceptance letter.

Students recognized with this award will receive $9,000 per year. 

Awarded to students National Percentile Composite Scores between 95 and 98 on the HSPT. These scholarships do not require a separate application. 

Qualification for this scholarship is based on HSPT scores listed below. Recipients of this award will be notified in their Admissions acceptance letter. 

The Principal or Pastor from each Diocesan school is encouraged to recognize one (1) 8th grade student for each of the following categories: Leadership, Service, and Personal Growth (three students total). 

Students recognized for these personal qualities will receive $1,000, applicable toward freshman year tuition. Recipients of this award will be notified in their Admissions acceptance letter. 

The Vocal Scholarship is awarded to two (2) students in recognition of exceptional talent, professionalism, and passion for the arts through vocal performance. Recipients of the scholarship must enroll and participate in a choral ensemble their freshman year (at a minimum), and are encouraged to join in subsequent years. 

Students recognized with this award will receive $1,500, applicable toward freshman year tuition.

The Instrumental Scholarship is awarded to two (2) students in recognition of exceptional talent, professionalism, and passion for the arts through performance on their musical instrument. Recipients of the scholarship must enroll and participate in at least one instrumental ensemble during their freshman year.

Students recognized with this award will receive $1,500, applicable toward freshman year tuition.

Bishop O’Connell established this award in honor of the O’Donnell family. Maura O’Donnell and her siblings inspired the creation of Superdance, which raises money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. This scholarship is awarded to two (2) rising 9th grade students who have made a difference in their community by going above and beyond to help those in need.  

Recipients will receive $1,000, applicable toward freshman year tuition.

How to Apply:

• Admissions application must be submitted by the deadline. 
• Submit a personal essay detailing your community service, how it has impacted you, and the tangible (or intangible) ways in which you made a difference. 
• Submit one (1) letter of recommendation to admissions@bishopoconnell.org.

Amount: 10% tuition discount annually while the following criteria are met.

Eligibility: At least one parent must be active duty U.S. military.

How to Apply: Submit copy of proof of active duty status to business office between Jan. 1 and Mar. 31 to be applied to student tuition for the following year. Must be submitted annually.
