Join us as we celebrate Bishop O'Connell's accomplishments in the area of diversity and will confirm the diversity ideals to which we remain dedicated. Bishop O'Connell recognizes and reaffirms the good influence of a diverse and healthy environment. We'll be joined by special guest speaker Mrs. Emilia Bautista King (read her bio below).  Join us for an evening of dinner, fellowship, and much more.

Emilia Bautista King is a Second Grade Teacher and Lower School Equity, Justice, and Community Co-Clerk at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. She has presented workshops with and for AAPI educators at the  National Association of Independent Schools People of Color Conference and the Asian Educators Alliance Conference. Emilia has a BA in Mass Communication and Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and an M.Ed. from the University of Melbourne in Australia. She graduated from La Reine High School, a former all-girl Catholic school in Maryland. Emilia has two daughters, one at Elizabeth Seton High School and one in middle school.
