Three O'Connell girls varsity lacrosse players were named as 2010 US Lacrosse Academic All-Americans. They are Margot Breiner, Bridget O'Keefe and Allison Russell, all members of the class of 2010.
According to US Lacrosse, players are chosen based on their exemplary lacrosse skills and excellent sportsmanship on the field while also representing high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. Additionally, Academic All-Americans are known for significant contributions of service to their school or communities.
All three girls were co-captains of the 2010 varsity team this past season, and O'Keefe and Russell are repeat Academic All-Americans.
