Royalette Dance Team History

The Royalette Dance Team was established in 1981 by Kay Ahlstrom, who retired in 1999 and currently resides in South Carolina. Over the years there have been over 300 girls who have been a part of this great tradition. Royalettes became a varsity sport on Saturday, November 9, 2002.  On October 13, 2001, a 20th Reunion was held after a home football game. Many alumni members returned to see the halftime peformance. There was a 25-Year Celebration held on September 9, 2006.  The Royalettes held a 30th Anniversary Celebration on September 24, 2011.

The Royalettes have created a positive reputation for themselves and have gained respect from their fellow students and the faculty at the school. They enjoy watching the team perform at games and pep rallies. They have also made their mark at competitions. The team has grown so much since 1981.

Thank you to those members past and present who have contributed to the success of the team today.

RDT was recognized as a sport during the 2002-2003 season.  Team awards started in 2003-2004. 

Eagle Award
Awarded by Coach Chrissy Salvador in Excellence of Leadership.
