Instructional Coach - Bishop O’Connell is seeking an instructional coach to be part of the school’s professional learning team starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time instructional coaching position. Applicants will be considered with teaching experience and credentials in any academic subject area. Instructional coaches support job-embedded professional development through collaborative and individual learning cycles. Instructional coaches engage in co-planning, modeling, and co-teaching lessons; as well as observing, providing feedback, and coaching classroom instruction. The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree and eight or more years of teaching experience, with a record of effectively impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs. An understanding of the mission of Catholic education is essential to the position. The candidate will have a proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues, including the ability to create and nurture a professional community of adult learners. The instructional coach will work with the professional development team to maintain a strong understanding of effective instructional strategies and assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, implementation of effective classroom management techniques and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students.
Registrar - Bishop O'Connell is seeking a registrar for the 2024-2025 school year. The registrar is responsible for the academic records and data of all students, including former students. This position requires the ability to keep confidences and be trustworthy and responsible in handling sensitive and important information. The registrar works with the Dean of Mission and Dean of Academics to ensure that accurate data is presented and preserved in a professional manner. The idea candidate has good communication skills, is comfortable using a variety of school management applications, and is able to collaborate effectively with administrators and teachers.
