In an intense home season-opener vs. the Georgetown Prep Hoyas last Saturday night, The Knights held on to win 64 to 61! The O-Zone was loud and proud, with many O'Connell faculty and staff in attendance to support the Boys Varsity Basketball team for a late Saturday night game. "I thought they played incredibly hard on Saturday night. They took 6 charges, dove for loose balls, rebounded and defended tough" commented Head Coach Joe Wootten. Optimistic and excited about what the season entails, Coach Wootten describes he "really loves this group of guys, they are selfless and play well together. This team has a bounce in their step everyday to get better, compete, and look out for one another."

Next Varsity Boys Basketball game is Friday Dec 8 vs. Friendship Collegiate. Game time is 3:15!
