WCAC Wrestling Championship | The wrestling team traveled to Good Counsel for the WCAC Championship. While only bringing six wrestlers to compete in the loaded field, O'Connell wrestling finished in 8th place.
Chris St. George (pictured bottom right at 126 lbs.) finished with a silver medal after facing a returning All-American from DeMatha. St. George maintains a firm position as the #4 126 lb. wrestler in VISAA. He looks to repeat as a National Prep qualifier and is striving to become the first All-American for O'Connell since 2009.
Brian Sweet (pictured top right at 152 lbs.) also had a strong consolation final match. He pinned his opponent from Paul VI, who has been ranked as high as #5 in VISAA. Sweet earned a bronze medal and is currently ranked #8 in VISAA. | |

I've had a front row seat these past 18 years, and it's been a fun ride, watching the program take off and continue to grow. It's a tremendous tribute to Joe and all that he has put into it.
